The Young Learner's Bible Storybook
One of my favorite Children's Bibles is The Young Learner's Bible Storybook by Dr. Mary Manz Simon. I've been using it since 2005 for lessons with young children. We are going through the Bible again this year, January-June focusing on the Old Testament and July-December the New Testament. I'm going to be using this early Bible as a guideline of which story to focus on each week, as I have a tendency to reteach personal favorites more often (and oddly enough I skip commonly-known ones, which really isn't great for kids who are enjoying their first taste of the Bible in my lessons! They need to know about Noah's ark, too!)

New Testament Vocabulary and Labels
Here is the vocabulary I included in my New Testament set to help kiddos learn terms as they read the lessons.
Here is a sample of what the New Testament Book cards from my NT set look like when printed. I hung up a large sheet of paper and we glued the book(s) we read about on each week as a growing list. I went back and added notes to each section (Gospels, Paul's letters, etc.) for clarity.

Revelation
I tried to spend a bit of time talking about how some things in Revelation sound confusing and scary, but we don't need to be worried or afraid.

1, 2, and 3 John
1, 2, and 3 John- I loved this lesson. The three letters are short and are pretty simple for your kids to understand.

Colossians
Colossians has a lot of "don'ts." See if your kids can come up with a list of "do's" using information from this letter.

Ephesians
For Ephesians, I included some things Paul wrote. Your older kids could take a box and figure out where in the book Paul says these things (They aren't word-for-word, so it's great to see if the kids can use a summary to find examples.)

1 and 2 Corinthians
All of the books that have multiples are included together. For Corinthians, information is located on the left and facts about the church in Corinth are written on the right side. I also noticed the kids love the extra graphics, so I'm trying to include more of those.
The clip art I use is Graphics from the Pond and Creative Clips. I use mostly KB fonts. All of it was purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers.

Romans
I thought "The Roman Road" would be a good conversation to have here, so I included it on the right side. The left tells about the book of Romans and what's going on at the time.

Acts
For the Book of Acts, the left side tells about the book and the right side talks about Paul's missionary journeys mentioned in Acts.
